Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas
For any photographer this time of year is so busy with family Christmas shoots, that sometimes I get so caught up in it I forget to BLOG! So I am playing a big game of catch-up! This shoot was at one of my favorite locations in Winter Park. This day was very gloomy and a prediction of 70% chance of rain. Luckily we were able to do our shoot before the rain came pouring down! I have known Christina for a long time and was excited to hear that her family moved close by. They are such a happy and outgoing family! When everyone relaxes it easy to capture action shots that a lot more natural! Here is a small peek of their session at Kraft Azalea Park. Enjoy!!

Location, location, location
There are certain places that I LOOOOVE to shoot at. I like to tell my clients, but always leave the option to allow them to choose a place that best represents their family. One of my favorite places to photograph at is Kraft Azalea Park in Winter Park. There is something about that place that is just magical! The light through the trees, the perfect light that bounces off the lake....its just perfect. Last week I met up with the Copper family to do their family mini session there. We had a great time and captured some of the best light of the day. Enjoy!!

New to the world
What do you think of when you hear the words fresh and new? Everyone has their own idea, but I think of newborns. They are new to this world and have their whole life to figure things out. They have a fresh beginning. I am being honest when I say that I get a sense of rejuvenation when I photograph a newborn. So when Kelly called, it was perfect timing. I was at a point in my life that I was trying to decide what my career plan was, and what my future had in store for me.
When I walked into their house I was greeted by my little friend Jack. For some reason we get each other! He was so excited to show me his trains and wanted me to even stay and play after the session was over. During his session I took a break and grabbed a few pictures of his new little sister. She was so perfect! She let me place her anyway I wanted to, and didn't wake up one time!!! So thank you to this family for reassuring me that I am on my way to great things in photography. Your session meant more to me than you realize.

Awaiting a miracle
For this shoot, I drove to Tampa and began taking some simple shots at their house. The nursery was already done so I couldn't wait to get some shots in there! After that we headed to this amazing field (and after a quick slushy break haha), where the sun was perfectly setting and the warm colors were showing through the trees. Photographers always say that lighting is EVERYTHING in a session. Well I would say this session proves it!
